Tripudio di fisarmoniche per il ventisettesimo evento dell'eclettico cartellone 2012 del Festival Ultrapadum: la rassegna diretta da Angiolina Sensale approda a Bagnaria, città delle ciliegie, sabato 18 Agosto con un concerto in cui saranno protagonisti i cinque  artisti del quintetto IMP Valle d'Aosta. Una serata dove la fisarmonica sarà regina.
 
Il borgo medievale della piccola cittadina della Val Staffora si animerà di suoni e ritmi balcanici ma anche di musica napoletana e di tango argentino secondo il suo più famoso interprete. Un viaggio musicale intorno al mondo che dal Sudamerica ci porterà sul Dnepr e nella Grande Madre Russia ma anche nell'Austria di Strauss e tra i vicoli di Napoli e Mergellina.

Festival dei cori 

In questi ultimi anni sono nate tante rassegne, ma il Festival dei cori più rinomato in provincia di Pavia rimane quello del borgo di Porana di Pizzale, legato ad Associazione Porana Eventi e  ai Borghi più belli d'Italia. 
Si aprono le iscrizioni alla 14esima edizione di una kermesse nata in memoria di Don Sandro Magnani (a lungo parroco di Porana) e ormai affermata in tutto il nord Italia, visto che sono numerosi i gruppi canori provenienti da diverse regioni (persino dal Lazio e dalla Sardegna). 
Anche quest'anno il Festival avrà una sorta di vetrina Domenica 21 Ottobre 2012_10_21 in occasione della Sagra del Kiwi di Pizzale, proprio di fronte al Municipio: nel pomeriggio, dalle ore 15, tra una degustazione e l'altra, è prevista l'esibizione di alcuni cori legati alle tradizioni popolari. 
L'intento degli organizzatori (Porana Eventi, Agenzia CreativaMente, Festival Borghi&Valli – Sulle note di Feste&Patroni) è proprio quello di valorizzare al meglio due tra i principali prodotti del territorio: il frutto entrato a far parte delle nostre abitudini alimentari e coltivato da anni anche a Pizzale, ed il festival che più di ogni altro esalta le qualità dei gruppi corali sul territorio. 
La gara vera e propria tra cori torna invece all'auditorium Casa del Giovane di Lungavilla Domenica 25 Novembre 2012_11_25 e prevede due sezioni, 
liturgica (cori che abitualmente accompagnano le funzioni religiose in Chiesa) ed
extraliturgica (cori gospel, spiritual, lirica, con premi suddivisi per sezione). 
A giudicare i cori sarà una giuria critica presieduta da Don Matteo Zambuto, sacerdote e cantautore pavese, e Pietro Emilio Franchioli, pianista e compositore lomellino. Ma ci sarà anche un premio della giuria popolare e un riconoscimento al miglior solista della kermesse. Il regolamento del Festival è disponibile sul sito www.porana.it. 
Per festeggiare poi il Santo Natale è ormai una tradizione per Porana Eventi richiamare i cori delle varie edizioni del festival la sera di S. Stefano, il 26 Dicembre 2012_12_26, per cantare le più belle melodie natalizie alla presenza di affermati personaggi della lirica. 
In questo caso non si tratta di partecipare ad un concorso, ma semplicemente di proporre gli auguri in musica secondo differenti stili e generi, improvvisando con i cantanti lirici i brani più conosciuti.

A Ferragosto la proposta musicale del Festival Ultrapadum sarà nel segno del folklore e della tradizione con l'edizione2012 di Cegni Trad. Quest'anno ospiti del duo Valla-Scurati, musicisti di fama internazionale eredi e continuatori della musica delle Quattro Province, Hervé Chapel e Michel Esbelin, rappresentanti di un'altrettanto ricca tradizione e repertorio, quella dell' Auvergne. 

La coppia piffero-fisarmonica Valla-Scurati incontrerà in una sorta di gemellaggio musicale la coppia fisarmonica – cabrette (una specie di cornamusa). Un'unione di strumenti, quest'ultima, che ebbe origine durante i balli popolari a Parigi all'inizio del Novecento con l'incontro del maestro di cornamusa d'Auvergne Antoine Bouscatel e Charles Peguri, fisarmonicista di origine piemontese. 

La colonna sonora del Ferragosto della ventesima edizione del Festival Ultrapadum sarà composta da marce, polche, valzer e canzoni dei cugini d'Oltralpe insieme alla musica delle Quattro Province, dove la coppia di musicisti che suonavano piffero e fisarmonica aveva tradizionalmente il compito di animare tutte le feste e le danze della vita contadina. 

L'appuntamento è in quel di Cegni, piccola frazione di Santa Margherita di Staffora famosa per il suo Carnevale Bianco, alla Sala delle Feste. 

Al termine del concerto, l'organizzazione allestirà un banco d'assaggio delle tipicità locali: formaggi, salumi, vino, dolci di questa food valley  ricca di eccellenze enogastronomiche. 


Cegni 

E' una delle frazioni di Santa Margherita di Staffora, piccolo borgo che si trova nella zona montana dell'Oltrepò Pavese nell'alta valle della Staffora di cui il comune comprende le sorgenti.

Nel fondo valle transitava la via del sale, percorsa da colonne di muli che percorrendo mulattiere raggiungevano Genova attraverso il passo del Giovà e il Monte Antola. Cegni è famoso per il suo Carnevale Bianco (nei giorni del Sabato Grasso e del 16 Agosto) con la storia del Brutto che vuole sposare la Povera Donna, corredato da balli, vino, ravioli e frittelle e sfilate nelle stradine del borgo.

Musica popolare dell'appennino

Profondamente legati al territorio delle Quattro Province e in particolare a Cegni, paese di Giacomo ed Ernesto Sala (pifferai tra i più importanti del secolo scorso), Stefano Valla e Daniele Scurati sono i continuatori diretti del repertorio musicale tradizionale legato al piffero(oboe popolare) ed alla fisarmonica. La loro attività è volta a mantenere viva la musica e la cultura di tradizione orale di questa area montana e a stimolarne la diffusione attraverso feste, concerti, stage e conferenze.

Il duo porta avanti parallelamente una duplice attività suonando nelle feste dei paesi dell'Appenino, dove il ballo è tuttora uno dei fondamentali momenti di aggregazione (feste patronali, matrimoni, sagre, carnevali) e nell'ambito di rassegne e iniziative musicali con concerti in Italia e all'estero.

Nello stesso momento, grazie alla loro attenzione a stimoli culturali contemporanei, e attraverso esperienze in altri ambiti musicali interpretano la loro musica esprimendo la sua vitalità e la loro appartenenza al proprio tempo.

Nell'area di diffusione del piffero esiste tuttora, strettamente legato al repertorio musicale, un repertorio di danze tradizionali precedenti l'affermazione delle danze di coppia; ne fanno parte: giga, alessandrina, monferrina, piana e povera donna, quest'ultima con connotazioni rituali e simboliche particolari.




Duo francese Michel Esbelin -Hervè Capel.

La coppia fisarmonica cabrette (cornamusa) è la formazione emblematica della musica d' Auvergne (Francia).L'unione dei due strumenti nacque durante i balli popolari a Parigi all'inizio del secolo scorso con l'incontro del maestro di cornamusa d' Auvergne Antoine Bouscatel e Charles Peguri, fisarmonicista-artigiano di origine piemontese.

Il duo Chapel Esbelin riprende questa ricca tradizione di repertorio d' Auvergne (bouree, marce, scotish, polche) e di Parigi valzer e canzoni

Invito al Jazz: viaggio musicale Oltreatlantico nell'America più profonda
L'Orchestra Verdi, diretta dal Maestro Giuseppe Grazioli, si esibirà in una performance dedicata al jazz.
Il concerto si apre con Gould (Symphonette n. 2 – 2nd American Symphonette), per proseguire con Copland (Concerto per clarinetto), un doppio Bernstein (Prelude, Fugue & Riffs e 3 Dance Episodes from On the Town), per concludere con l'ariosa ed evocativa Night Creature di Ellington.
Ad accompagnare l'orchestra nel suo "viaggio in America", il clarinetto di Fausto Ghiazza e il contrabbasso di Michele Sciandra, entrambi "prime parti" de laVerdi.

Piazza del Cannone ospiterà un concerto straordinariodell'Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, con un programma interamente ispirato alla festa.
 
Il concerto, promosso dal Comune di Milano, si inserisce nel cartellone diVerdEstate, la rassegna estiva del Comune di Milano. 
Protagoniste della serata saranno proprio le pagine di Händel, autore tra i più prolifici e felici di musiche destinate a coronare gli eventi festosi di corte (nel suo caso quella inglese), di cui l'ensemble di largo Mahler – diretto per l'occasione dal milanese Ruben Jais, direttore artistico de laVerdi - eseguirà Occasional Oratorio, Musica sull'acqua (Suite n.2), per concludere con la trionfale Musica per i Reali Fuochi d'Artificio.
Non solo. Durante tutto lo svolgimento del concerto, nell'arco di un'ora e mezzo circa, i milanesi e gli ospiti italiani e stranieri, particolarmente numerosi in queste settimane in città, potranno ammirare gli splendidi fuochi d'artificio di Bob Caselli, in una cornice che si ispira dichiaratamente al modello delle feste di corte settecentesche.

Il corso si propone di offrire agli appassionati di teatro, ma anche ai neofiti e ai curiosi, gli strumenti fondamentali per una visione consapevole di uno spettacolo, invitandoli a sviluppare una capacità di lettura e critica autonoma. Il linguaggio del teatro verrà analizzato in ogni sua componente (regia, drammaturgia, attore, scenografia, costumi, musiche ecc…) e verranno attraversati tutti i generi teatrali (dalla prosa alla danza, all'opera, al musical ecc…) attraverso un costante riferimento a esempi tratti da spettacoli storici e nuove sperimentazioni.

A compendio dell'attività svolta in aula verranno inoltre organizzate tre uscite teatrali, non obbligatorie ma caldamente consigliate, per la visione di tre spettacoli (a prezzi ridotti) presso il Teatro Cagnoni di Vigevano e presso altri teatri della zona, con l'accompagnamento della docente del corso, per sperimentare sul campo le nozioni apprese in aula (le date degli spettacoli verranno comunicate al momento dell'iscrizione e si concentreranno tutte nel periodo di svolgimento del corso).

Matteo Falcier  nel 2010 ha debuttato il ruolo di Paolino nel " Matrimonio segreto" di D. Cimarosa, presso il palazzo congressi di Stresa nell'ambito del "49° Stresa Festival" diretto dal M.° Andrea Battistoni. Nel 2011 è stato Dorvil nella "Scala di seta" di G. Rossini per il Ticino Festival; nello stesso anno ha debuttato come Flavio in "Norma" di V. Bellini e come Don Riccardo in "Ernani" di G. Verdi presso il Teatro Verdi di Sassari e come il Marchese della Conchiglia ne "La Cecchina ossia la buona figliula" di N. Piccinni per il Bergamo Musica Festival. Nel 2012 partecipa al 63° concorso As.Li.Co. e consegue il diploma di "IDONEO". Attualmente frequenta i corsi dell'Accademia del Belcanto "Rodolfo Celletti" di Martina Franca.
