Il tenore trecatese Matteo Falcier in questi giorni ha aggiunto un altro ruolo al suo repertorio partecipando alla ripresa di un'opera di Vincenzo Bellini "Zaira" di rara esecuzione nonostante la gradevolezza delle pagine che comprende. (29/07 e 2/08/2012).

Matteo Falcier  nel 2010 ha debuttato il ruolo di Paolino nel " Matrimonio segreto" di D. Cimarosa, presso il palazzo congressi di Stresa nell'ambito del "49° Stresa Festival" diretto dal M.° Andrea Battistoni. Nel 2011 è stato Dorvil nella "Scala di seta" di G. Rossini per il Ticino Festival; nello stesso anno ha debuttato come Flavio in "Norma" di V. Bellini e come Don Riccardo in "Ernani" di G. Verdi presso il Teatro Verdi di Sassari e come il Marchese della Conchiglia ne "La Cecchina ossia la buona figliula" di N. Piccinni per il Bergamo Musica Festival. Nel 2012 partecipa al 63° concorso As.Li.Co. e consegue il diploma di "IDONEO". Attualmente frequenta i corsi dell'Accademia del Belcanto "Rodolfo Celletti" di Martina Franca.

La sesta edizione di Milano Arte Musica giunge all'ultimo appuntamento.
Il ciclo si conclude nella Basilica di Santa Maria della Passione (via Conservatorio 16) mercoledì 29 agosto (ore 20.30) con il gradito ritorno di artisti magnifici: il soprano Carolyn Sampson e l'Accademia Bizantina diretta da Ottavio Dantone. A preziosi brani vocali di Händel (Salve Regina HWV 241, Haec Est Regina Virginum HWV 235 e l'appena ritrovato Gloria) saranno affiancati concerti grossi di Händel, Geminiani, Scarlatti.
L'originalità strutturale del Concerto Grosso, l'espressione più rappresentativa dello stile concertato sviluppatosi in Italia nella seconda metà del Seicento, sta nel dialogo tra le due compagini strumentali – il Concertino e il Concerto Grosso appunto – che si alternano nel proporre temi, frasi ed episodi musicali, giocando sugli effetti del forte e del piano. Nella musica da chiesa le due compagini assumono significati simbolici, rappresentando il dialogo tra cielo e terra, tra gli angeli (il concertino) e gli uomini (il concerto grosso). La forma conosce una grande fortuna a cavallo tra Sei e Settecento, per merito di compositori quali Torelli, Albinoni, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Geminiani e Händel.
Alcune di queste composizioni sono proposte nel programma di questa sera, insieme a tre splendide pagine di musica vocale sacra: il Gloria, una cantata per soprano e trio d'archi sul testo liturgico del Gloria in excelsis Deo, e le due antifone mariane Salve Regina e Haec est regina virginum, composte da Händel durante il suo soggiorno romano. Le due antifone furono eseguite durante i vespri per la festa della Vergine del Carmelo a Roma nel luglio del 1707: la prima, accanto al consueto trio d'archi, prevede anche l'intervento dell'organo obbligato. Il Gloria fu probabilmente composto da Händel intorno al 1706, prima del suo viaggio in Italia: la partitura è stata riscoperta a Londra nel 2001 nella biblioteca della Royal Academy of Music, all'interno di una collezione di cantate e arie appartenuta a William Savage, compositore, organista e acclamato cantante inglese del diciottesimo secolo.

E non si ferma neanche la settimana di Ferragosto il Festival LagoMaggioreMusica 2012, la rassegna organizzata da Gioventù Musicale Italia che vedrà susseguirsi, nelle più suggestive località della sponda piemontese e della sponda lombarda del Lago Maggiore, ben 20 concerti: una fitta programmazione che proseguirà fino a fine agosto, per offrire a chi che trascorre il periodo estivo in questi splendidi luoghi un interessante panorama di musica da camera.
 
Nell'ottica della valorizzazione dei giovani talenti italiani, lunedì 16 agosto il pubblico del Festival potrà ascoltare il flautista Federico Rossini, vincitore lo scorso anno delle Audizioni Nazionali indette da Gioventù Musicale d'Italia, talento multiforme, eccellente virtuoso dello strumento e contemporaneamente brillante studente dell'Università Bocconi di Milano, qui in duo con l'arpista Elena Piva
